At first I went in because people kept posting screenshots and opinions in the reddit cs community, and I wanted to see if my own results would match the hype. They mostly did not. I had a couple of decent pulls, a lot of low-value skins, and a few sessions where I closed the site annoyed at myself for chasing the next case.
What I think after half a year:
* The site works fine technically. I did not have major issues with deposits, opening cases, or withdrawing items.
* The fun part is real, especially if you like the quick hit of opening something and seeing what lands.
* The downside is also real. Most openings felt worse than just buying the skin I actually wanted.
* Upgrades and battle-style features were where I lost discipline the fastest. Easy to click, hard to justify after.
* If you set a budget before logging in, the experience is a lot better.
* If you are hoping to come out ahead over time, I would say lower your expectations a lot.
* The best use for it, at least for me, was occasional spending, not regular grinding.
So, was it worth it? As a hobby thing, sometimes yes. As a smart way to build inventory, not really.
If anyone wants a longer breakdown, I wrote more detail here: hellcase real review.
